Just popping in to wish you all a wonderful New Year’s Eve! If you get the chance to reflect on this past year, think of the good. Think of all of the big things and the little things that made this past year stand out. This last year for our own family was a tough one, but I have a really good feeling about the new year. Big things for this little blog are on the horizon and I can’t wait to share every last detail with you all! Thank you for always being so supportive, so kind, so helpful, and full of such great advice. Enjoy your New Years Eve celebrations and see you all next year!

With the holidays now nearly over, and New Years Eve fast approaching, my mind turns to my tabletop. I have been on the hunt for perfect white dinnerware sets. A white place-setting is always a classic, and it gives me wiggle room with the rest of my decor. I’m also going through this bizarre stage of nesting where I want everything in the house to look perfect (though it’s far from it!) I’m going to call this “third year of marriage syndrome”. I blame our wedding registry. A few years ago I got to beep a gun to my heart’s content at every pretty dish, fork, and vase, and voila: they appeared at my door a few weeks later. I’m having decor withdrawal.
I thought I loved the square shape. We went to a friends’ house and they served everything is this funky square bowls, and I thought, “These are awesome!”, but after seeing all of the other gorgeous shapes, I’m more confused than ever.
So I need a bit of help: Porcelain or stoneware? Square or rounded edges? Modern or classic? Mix and match?

This funky holiday dinner party by the fabulous Kelly Wearstler was just too good not to share. Kelly teamed up with Vogue to create an imaginary dinner party with every detail laid out. Kelly even created personalized name cards and objects for each ‘imaginary’ guest. So quirky and unique, full of brass skulls, hands, and roses, ceramic busts and statues, mis-matched high-end design chairs, and of course, lush gold flatware, in a crazy way, this holiday dinner party reminds me of a luxe version of A Nightmare Before Christmas … and I like it!

I’ve been crushing hard on these J.Crew Etta Sequin Pumps and with the perfect excuse for sparkly heels on the horizon – New Years Eve – I’m finding it hard not to take the plunge.

And last but not least, look number 8 (and the last look – eek!) in the Rimmel Blogger contest was the “Stylish Look for sitting front row at London Fashion Week.” Getting the chance to attend a London Fashion Week would be a major dream, by the way. And when dressing for a fashion show, you want to look professional-ish, with plenty of your own style mixed in, and ever street-style-photo-ready.
And if you could take a minute today to vote for me and forward this post to a friend (or twenty), I would so appreciate it!
