Some people take the new year to tackle a big diet or fitness regimen, I figure, “I’ll get to that, one day”… but in the meantime, I’m all about tackling home design projects.

This vintage-meets-modern table setting has me re-thinking my own dining room design.

I dream of this kind of organization, especially organization this lovely.

This clean bedroom with a pop of crisp white fur has me plotting the packing-up of half my bedroom knick-knacks (and piles of shoes … I call it “organized chaos”).

This gorgeous New Years Eve – inspired dinner party makes me want to throw a party.  (We were far too busy this holiday season to throw a party of our own.)

This white office space reminds me that it’s high time I get to my office re-design.

And this year, I will finally find the large mirror I’ve been dreaming of.

Do you have any fun design or decor projects on the horizon in the new year?

That bedroom is a dream!!! I’m hoping to get my mini gallery wall completed and frame some other prints that are all tucked away in a drawer waiting for me to get my act together!

I’ve always loved the idea of attempting a gallery wall! Can’t wait to see pictures!

I always see the new year as a fresh start, and that definitely applies to my home as well. My home is a work in progress, even if it is prettier and homier than it ever has been before. For me, I really need to get on my office though. It’s almost done, but not quite there yet! xoxo

Those stripes! Eek! I love them! I can’t wait to get out of a rental so that I can stripe my place up.

Hi Lexi,
I love your blog! And yes, I’m with you on tackling home design projects! :) We went through a chapter 7 bankruptcy and thought we were going to lose our home of 5 years. Our bank modified our house on December and forgave us a dept of $55,000! (I know… too much info, sharing this w/you cause you’re a lawyer!) lol But we are beyond blessed! This year is a new fresh start for us! Before we felt stuck, couldn’t do anything cause we didn’t know what was going to happen. (oh my! I’m writting a blog post on this comment…lol) My new year resolution is to finally start giving our home a new clean look! I’m so excited and thankful at the same time! I will open up a new personal blog and start documenting my progress and ideas! Your post is so inspiring! I love the beautiful & rustic dinning room + those beautiful striped walls!! Image pinned!! haha! :)
God bless & Happy New Year!!
Hugs,
Carmen
