Red Wine Lipstick

Every winter I fall in love all over again with a deep red-stained lip.  It’s vampy and dramatic and there are a number of gorgeous shade variations with some leaning towards a deeper more red hue while others have a rich plum or purple base.  Either way, I can’t get enough.  So far, I’ve only tested the waters – snatching up a tube of Butter London in Le Moss – and now I’m hooked and really want to try a more matte black-red lipstick.

Have you tried a bold shade that you can’t live without?  Any and all recommendations welcomed!

I love this color! I have been trying to gradually get myself used to darker lip shades and hopefully I can work my way to this!

I LOOOOVE this post. This color is so perfect for a sultry Valentine’s date and I’m loving how most of these shades are matte. Great job!

I love it! I just haven’t found that perfect color yet. And it tends to get all over my teeth/face/hands somehow. I should probably try a matte instead though (I think I have a gloss). That’ll probably make a difference, thanks! xoxo

I think this look is so sexy, but I’m crazy pale, so I always think it’s going to make me look like a vampire. I guess I need to be a little braver!
