I adore days off (thank you, Presidents.)  Though, really, a Monday off is hardly different from the normal Saturday + Sunday off, I feel somehow like I’m playing hooky by missing a typically blech (ick, Mondays) day.  And obviously, I’m still working.  But today, it’s 100% from home, in my pajamas, my hair in tangles, and I’m so so happy.

Mind you, some of the pictures are a bit cheeky …

Canvas and leather straps are very Hamptons chic and all over the internet right now.

Braided straps … be still, my heart.  I love the boho hippie vibe.  I might be sold.

I instantly fell for this editorial-ish photo snapped in Paris by the fabulous Tommy Ton for Style.com.  The chic Parisian’s pants are fabulous.  And then I was flipping through my glossy new Free People catalog and I found this Sheer Stripe Romper.  And I had that a-ha moment – the pants were nearly a match!  Are you a fan of the gauzy printed pajama pant?

And my obsession with cupcakes continues.  How great is this print (the image is actually a fine art photographic print on matte paper) titled The Anatomy of a Cupcake?

Let me preface this by saying, the above is the only kind of antler artwork I will ever like. But oh how I like it. I love the combination of illustration and photography, especially when that photograph is of pretty flowers! I’m too easy.

I instantly fell for this woodland forest party set-up.  The fabric cushions and tree stump chairs equal perfection in my book.  This would be the perfect fairy princess party.  I don’t know why this whole scene reminds me of fairies, but it does.

And now for a shameless Maine plug …  I just found out that the place to visit in Maine, is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay.  A friend told me that in addition to the garden cooking series and the classes on home gardening, there is a class where kids learn to make a fairy garden.  Am I too old to play?
