With Valentine’s Day only two weeks away, I thought it was just about that time to post my Valentine’s Day wishlist so that you all could add to your own lists, give me suggestions of other V-day-worthy goodies, and maybe, just maybe, my own hubby will feel so inclined to check my blog for “research” and order me ten to twelve sets of gold flatware.  A girl can dream, right?  (And you know you’re growing up when you want flatware more than anything else on the annual day of love.)

Today we’re talking beauty.  More specifically, the beauty obsessed … like me.  I’ve decided (totally self-proclaimed) that beauty products make the very best gift.  I mean, you can gift someone Chanel, in a glossy sparkly tube of magic, and it’s reasonable (but totally awesome!)  What girl doesn’t love a lush new mascara, perfect shade of polish, or brand new lipstick?  Plus, there are so many snazzy beauty-meets-tech toys out there right now, it’s easy to gift away for every beauty-obsessive on your list.

I am a makeup fiend.  My mom says I came out with lipgloss in hand at birth.  I live for a great lipstick, a pretty blush, and my sacred compact.  I also know that as I got older, skincare is essential.  I buy everything with SPF, moisturize every night, and never ever sleep with make-up still on my face.  My make-up bag is generally a mix of lots of makeup, a great spot corrector (love Proactiv®), and cleanser.
