Playing Tourist (+ Target Style)
On Saturday, we played tourist for a day and headed south – way south – to the Redlands. I used our little weekend outing as an excuse to try out my new Target ombré dip dye scarf. And fun fact, I’ve been chosen to be a part of Target’s style team, scouting out the hottest trends. Be on the lookout over the next few weeks for posts full of Target style, and very soon, a super exciting trip to Target’s headquarters! (Oh yeah, seriously pumped! But more on that later.) It was bizarrely cold in Miami this weekend, so I got the chance to bundle up, and bundle up I did!
First stop, Knaus Berry Farms, known for their incredible homemade sticky buns, strawberry milkshakes, and a line down the street to prove it.
The sticky buns are wholly worth the wait …

Summer Streaking
Nooo, not that kind of streaking. Color streaking, your hair. And after seeing these images of updos and braids with a peak of bright color hidden within a great hairstyle, I really really want one.
But, I’m a lawyer, part of the time, and I’m not sure a judge/clients/lawyers would “get” the whole purple hair streak thing, but, I’m wondering if I could either (a) tuck the colorful piece into an updo, or (b) go clip-on. For now, I’ll probably stick to faux colored extensions, but someday, probably when I’m eighty and crazy, I’m going neon streak crazy. Are you a fan or the streak trend? Would you try a funky streak just for Summer?
Be sure to check out my earlier post on tie-dyed or dip-dyed hair tips and how to achieve the look!

Dip-Dyed Tablecloths
I spotted these super bright tablecloths on The Merriment Blog and I was immediately smitten (and bit by the DIY bug.) I need more hours in the day, less work piled up, and maybe a calorie-burning brownie. Asking too much?

And without further ado, a DIY ombre or dip-dyed tablecloth tutorial on Oh Happy Day, by Brittany of The House that Lars Built.
