Norwegian Ceramic Designer’s Home
Feast your eyes on the playful and inspiring home of ceramic designer silje aune eriksen that was featured in the latest issue (March/April) of Norwegian elle decoration. For whatever reason, this great space reminds me of a grown-up/modern dorm room. I’m in love with all of the grey and pops of neon. This is one cool home.
I am especially loving the “Be More Brainy” print, the ceramic milk cartons, the animals decorating the shelves and walls, the worn lockers, the NEON – have I mentioned how obsessed I am?

Design With A New Mexico Twist
These images have me positively inspired. I know I’m always going on about exposed beam and brick and that perfect rustic feel, so why stop now? Southwestern decor in particular has that perfect earthen-meets-modern vibe, featuring cowhide, kilim, wrought iron, exposed wood and stone, and rich, colorful patterns. What do you think?

A Wall of Trays
I am a design student wannabe, though I wear that “wannabe” status proudly, as no two ideas are the same – I love every style, era, theme, and pattern – and would likely flunk out of design school … fast. This image, spotted on Pinterest (where else?), has me swooning. Exposed beams, white wash, farmhouse table, stainless steel appliances … no doubt, I love it all … but paramount is the wall adorned with vintage silver trays. This wall is everything I love in a good house project – shopping/hunting thrift and garage sales (*bliss*), vintage finds, and a hammer and nails project for the hubby (he’s a very proud hammerer).

Industrial Loft With Pops of Pink
Someday I’ll live in a cool (and spacious) loft with exposed beams, floor-to-ceiling draped windows, rustic wood accents, and polished concrete … but until then, I’ll just swoon over these lovely images.
Sadly, my loft du jour will likely never boast a pale pink vintage refrigerator … a far cry from the manly loft I’m sure my husband envisions. And I learned my lesson long ago.
