Music Festival Style
I have long been a music junkie, tracing all the way back to the days of the cassette tape when it was really awesome to make mix tapes all day long. I used to spend hours waiting for my favorite songs to turn up on the radio so I could quickly press record and add to my ever-growing mix-tapes (oh yeah, I feel old now!) I’ve been to smaller, more local music festivals, though never a really huge weekend-long fest …. someday, preferably the kind with standing bathrooms. Though I’m a really feminine dresser, I’d probably stick to a great pair of comfy jeans for a great big music festival, paired with my favorite pair of boots. And I imagine, comfort at a festival is key!
I put together two music-festival appropriate looks for AG … whose jeans, I might add, are so ridiculously soft and feel loved in the best kind of way from the moment you slip them on; a.k.a., denim perfection. Both the AG Stilt Cigarete Roll-Up Jeans and the AG Legging Super Skinny Ankle Jeans that I chose had a destroyed look to them and both had the perfect ankle/crop length, that when you are vertically challenged like me, is a huge (no hemming necessary) bonus. The Stilt Cigarete Roll-Up Jeans felt like the perfect fitted boyfriend jean with a tapered ankle and a bit more length than a typical mid-calf crop, and the Super Skinny Legging Jeans were actually a pair of skinny jeans I had long been coveting – perfect for dress-up or -down.

Color Brights with T.J. Maxx
Next up in my Spring Style Scout series for T.J. Maxx we’re talking color brights and neons: vivid bright colors; coral, tropical inspiration; mixing of solids and bold prints and abstract, lightweight fabrics. Admittedly, I tend to shy away from brighter colors. I stick to black, white, and grey for my wardrobe staples, but I do love mixing in bold pops of color and pattern.

Old Navy Brand Ambassador
I have been bursting at the seams in anticipation of sharing this big blogging secret with you all. (One of many fun announcements in the upcoming weeks, I might add.) As of this post, I will be an official Old Navy Brand Ambassador. I’ve long-loved Old Navy, especially because their clothes are on trend and affordable. And let me just tell you: when unleashed in an Old Navy with gift cards to spend and dresses on the brain, it can feel a whole lot like Christmas! After chatting with anyone and everyone and making friends with all of the women in line at the register over all of the cute Old Navy dresses, sandals, and accessories for spring, I picked up two dresses, two denim jackets, and a pretty gold ring (that I now refuse to take off.) The eyelet lace dress has been all over Old Navy’s advertising the last few weeks, so I knew that dress would be mine. The fit is adorable: tapered waist, full skirt; plus perfect eyelet detailing. And oddly enough, my closet has seriously been lacking in the denim jacket department, so I knew those were a must.
Get the Look: White Eyelet Dress // Denim Jacket // Studded Bag // Booties // Braided Fabric Bracelet // Cone Bangles (c/o) // Gold Watch // Nail Polish

Little Love Notes
Dear week, you went by in the blink of an eye … thanks, I think.
Dear NYFW and LuckyFABB, you are so freaking close I could scream. I can’t believe I am finally going!
Dear dream bag, you would look so pretty on my arm at NYFW. I shall will you to arrive at my doorstep.
Dear closet, please sort yourself into the outfits most appropriate for NYFW and pack yourselves accordingly. Preferably in one suitcase. My husband insists my trying to lug two suitcases around is not practical … even if one is simply a “back-up” … for my shoes.
